The Secret To Grilling: Avocado Oil

Summertime is prime grilling season and we have the perfect ingredient that will make hanging out by the BBQ pit much more fun. Grilling can be difficult, especially when your dish starts burning before it’s ready to be taken off the grill. If this happens, chances are you’re using oil with a low smoke point. So what’s the magic oil to keep near the grill? Avocado oil, of course! Avocado oil’s high smoke point is what makes it the ideal cooking oil to use when grilling. This is because it conducts heat from the grates to your dish more effectively than other oils. In other words, avocado oil can handle the smoking hot heat that your grill gives off. Meat Marinade – Whether you’re grilling chicken, pork, beef or fish, avocado oil will bring out the maximum flavor you expect. You’ve got two choices when grilling meat: either marinade your protein in avocado oil (lemon, avocado oil and salt make a great marinade!) or lightly coat it in avocado oil before throwing it on the grill.     This is a bit misleading. It reads like you’re trying to capture an audience that has heard that avocado oil has an exceptionally high smoke point and is therefore ideal for grilling. But that is true only of the refined variety. The unrefined oils you sell are middle of the road at best in that category. I think you should be up front about that here.

      Hello. Though refined avocado oil does have the highest smoke point, unrefined still does contain a very high smoke point. Unrefined avocado oil is said to range between 450-480 degrees Fahrenheit which still makes it one of the best options for grilling.
